Hi :)
This is a website I just found yesterday that focuses on using mind to improve health, and the insight can also be applied to many other areas. I loved reading through the site. The first page is quite long with little bits of wisdom that resonated with me, and there are also newsletter archives and book chapter excerpts that I enjoyed reading.

I thought this was a neat comment:
"What's the Recommended Daily Allowance of meaning and purpose? How much self-acceptance equals a serving?"

here are a couple of quotations from Bashar:

"You are literally bright and shining stars. Allow yourselves to know you can burn as brightly as you wish and you will never be depleted. You are infinite, eternal, endless, bottomless. There is no height, no depth that you could possibly ever reach wherein you would find a barrier, a stopping point. None. The infinite is limitless. You are infinite."

-

"It can unfold very effortlessly, very magically, if you learn to stay in the now, and again, the key to that is to be in love with what's going on in your life, to be in love with yourself, utterly, unconditionally and totally, for you deserve to be.

You were created in the image of the All That Is of the Infinite, and there is no reason why you should treat yourselves with any less respect or any less value or any less deservability than the Infinite has for you by creating you to begin with. If you were worthy of creation in the eyes of the Infinite, why argue with that gift? Why discount that idea?"

attention and perception, Elias:

ELIAS: "I shall express to you that the most efficient movement that you may generate in association with another individual is to be focusing your attention upon yourself and not concerning yourself with the choices and the expressions of another individual. I am recognizing that this presents quite a challenge many times for individuals within your physical dimension.

But quite genuinely, in turning your attention to yourself and not concerning yourself with the expressions or the behaviors of another individual, you may allow yourself to recognize what YOU are generating. For as you present yourself with this type of scenario, in actuality what you are generating is a reflection. If the other individual is bothersome to you, you are presenting yourself with an expression to allow yourself to examine beliefs that YOU incorporate and that are influencing of YOUR expressions."

I received my "Note from the Universe" this morning and thought I would pass the website along, Totally Unique Thoughts, TUT

Mike has an Adventurers Club and free daily "Notes from the Universe" that are like reminders of life's magic, a little wake up from the drudgery of work in the morning or whatever. The notes come from the viewpoint of the Universe, almost always make me laugh, and have been so synchronous that sometimes I've had to wonder. Mike says we are adventurers that chose to come into time and space, and basically had so much fun hiding from ourselves that we just forgot who we were.

Anyway it's a neat site if you want to check it out. I've been getting his Notes for years and he's never spammed me or sold my address or anything. I also have some TUT books and the CD set if anybody's interested in borrowing them for a trial read/ listen.

more than we think we are, Seth:

"Each individual has access to intuitional knowledge and can gain glimpses of inner reality. The universe speaks to each of us in this regard.... Consciousness creates form. It is not the other way around. All personalities are not physical. It is only because you are so busily concerned with daily matters that you do not realize that there is a portion of you who knows that its own powers are far superior to those shown by the ordinary self.

"You have each lived other existences, and that knowledge is within you though you are not consciously aware of it. I hope that this book will serve to release the deeply intuitive self within each of my readers and to bring to the foreground of consciousness whatever particular insights will serve you most."

This is from the back cover of Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul, Jane Roberts, copyrights 1972, 1994. There is a copy at [the local bookstore] and one at the public library.

Freedom Seekers, Abraham:

"There will never be a time when there will not be others who oppose you in thought!
[...] And so, the individual will always be challenged by those beings who, from their feelings of weakness, will have gathered together in numbers and made some sort of 'Law'.

"Your nation's founding fathers — that is a funny way of saying it, since many of you were there then! Those of you who established the beginning foundation for your nation had the tremendous foresight of recognizing that it is man's nature to confine one another, and so, you built into the very precepts of your Constitution, Bill of Rights, and all those wonderful documents that began, words to protect you from each other. And that is what is bothering most of you, regarding this issue, as you see what you think is an erosion of those very important documents. What we say is, if you will stop seeing your freedoms as being eroded and, instead, see your civilization as evolving — so that you do not give your attention to the lack of what you want but, again, you are giving your attention to what you DO want — you will see that these Laws that are being passed, one by one, will also be released. [...]

"All it may take is a handful of beings — there are enough of you in the room right now! — to set forth your thought regarding your absolute freedom and your full expectation that these rules have just been passed that are out of order with your idea of what true freedom is — just see them as non-existent and you, in this room... this handful of concentrated beings, as a result of this concentrated conversation today — are enough to reverse those Laws. And now, we say to you, begin to watch! Watch for it. Watch the debates that will begin to take place today. You have launched it very effectively here together today. Now watch what happens. And take delight as you see the evidence coming towards the dissolution of these cumbersome 'Laws'. And in the meantime, do not give your attention to anything that gives you any sort of negative emotion. We have launched it together, now — let it go and watch how far and how fast it will go. Truly! [...] Good.

"If you will be beings who predominantly focus upon things that make you feel good, you will be of much more value to your Universe and to your society than if you focus upon the trouble spots."

As far as I know the Abraham-Hicks stuff is not available anywhere locally, but their staff in San Antonio is top-notch and very friendly for mail orders or even questions.

Excerpt from "The Skin of Living Thought" by Dena Ellery:

"Quantum mechanics also offers us a most amazing conundrum to grapple with: that this shaky ground that is alive with activity is full of possibility and probability. When quantum physicists set out to measure and record life at its minutest level, they found a most unusual phenomenon to grapple with. They couldn't find just a particle of matter. Because they also find waves of light. Both wave and particle; light and matter at the same time. Both seem to practically coexist at the same time. Matter isn't just one thing, it is a set of possibilities of things that could be, depending on when and how you observe it.

What does this mean? It means that until you observe something, until you see it as matter, it remains as a set of possibilities. It means that life, at its deepest, quantum level, may really be made up of fuzziness, uncertainty and probability. Life, at its deepest level, is really a whole universe of 'what ifs', a whole ground of being that is ready to burst with possibilities.

Now, there's two more items to your physics lesson this morning. The first is Wave Packets. That's what I've been describing to you, these minute packets of possibility. Could be a wave, could be a particle, could be here, could be there at any given moment. But do you know what's key to this theory? Observation. It seems that a wave packet that's full of possibilities collapses into only one piece of matter as soon as it's observed. I have an image of a child that's running wild and playing around all over a jungle gym and then their parent comes to watch and they suddenly behave like their mom wants and lines up patiently for the swing.

Wave packets are this simultaneous existence of matter and energy, wave and particles. But once an observation is made of matter, the wave collapses into matter. Where many possibilities existed within initial fuzziness and uncertainty, they collapse into one possibility once it is measured or observed.

As I said, what this suggests, is that the world is full of possibilities. But on top of that, our own observation, our own choice to see something is what really turns things into matter. Our very viewing, our very choice to observe something, brings all the possibilities into one reality. Our very being there helps to usher possibilities into one reality. This is a radical departure from Newtonian physics, which insists that the observer plays no role and has no impact on an experiment. Quantum physics insists that the observer plays an integral role in what becomes of these wave packets of possibilities.

In other words, we are all co-participants in our engagement with reality. You and I are engaged in a dance with all of life, creating it as we see it. Creating it as we choose our every action out of a myriad of possibilities."

First Unitarian Toronto Sermons now only lists past sermons from the last two years, but since the above used to be there, maybe there are more cool ones there. (?)
